Power Aviation, LLC was formed in 2006 by Owner Brad Power and is operated at Deer Valley Airport in Phoenix, AZ.
Power Aviation does maintenance on mostly Light Single and Twin engine aircraft.
The Owner, Brad Power, has been in Aviation since 1974. Brad was in the Air Force from 1973 thru 1977 and attained the rank of Sergeant . Brad received his Private Pilots License in 1975 while stationed in Germany. After being honorably discharged he attended Cochise College in Douglas, AZ from 1977 to 1978 where he earned his AAS Degree and received his Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
Brad then went to work as an Aircraft Mechanic for Litchfield Aviation, the Cessna Dealer in Goodyear,AZ. While working for Litchfield Aviation he obtained his Commercial, Instrument and Multi-engine ratings.
Brad worked at Litchfield Aviation from 1978 thru 1981 and rose from Line Mechanic to Service Manager. Brad obtained his Inspection Authorization in 1981 and went to work as a Line Mechanic for Cutter Aviation at Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, AZ. Brad worked for Cutter Aviation from 1981 through 1985 where he rose from Line Mechanic to Service Manager.
In 1985 Brad was hired by the Arizona Department of Public Safety to establish a Maintenance Program for the Departments Fixed and Rotor wing aircraft. Brad set up and Supervised the Maintenance program for AZDPS and worked there for 25 years. Brad retired from AZDPS in September of 2010.
Brad had started working weekends at Deer Valley in 2002 doing Annual Inspections and maintenance on numerous aircraft on the field. When he retired from State Employment he decided to work full time doing what he loved, maintaining aircraft, working and flying on various aircraft he has owned and being around fellow aviators.
From his years of involvement in Aviation Brad has experience on almost all aircraft based at Deer Valley.
